Tulsa 66ers Shift Focus to 2012 NBA D-League Showcase

TULSA, Okla., Jan. 9, 2012— The Tulsa 66ers (9-7), proud affiliate of the Oklahoma City Thunder, return to action this week at the 2012 NBA D-League Showcase, held this season inside the Reno Events Center in Reno, Nev. The 66ers will take on the Texas Legends (5-12) on Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 5:30 p.m. CT, followed by a matchup against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants (6-11) on Thursday, Jan. 12, at 2:45 p.m. CT.

Thursday’s game against the Mad Ants is scheduled to be shown live on NBATV. Additionally, both games can also be viewed online via webcast at nba.com/futurecast and can be heard in Tulsa on KAKC 1300 AM.

The 66ers, who are coming off a narrow 91-90 home defeat to the Austin Toros on Sunday, posted a 2-0 record at the NBA D-League Showcase last season, recording wins over Sioux Falls and Dakota.

Tuesday’s game against Texas will mark the fourth matchup between the Legends and 66ers this season. Tulsa owns a 2-1 mark in the series this season, including a 107-86 victory in the last matchup on Jan. 5.

The 66ers and Mad Ants’ game on Thursday will mark the first of three meetings this season between the two teams. Tulsa posted a 3-1 advantage over Fort Wayne last season.
